You have probably seen news reports regarding the situation in Cuba. Wanted to share the first hand reports we are getting.
The damage is significant. Many lives were lost. Houses washed away. Access roads washed out. Church buildings destroyed. Our brothers and sisters in Santiago have traveled to the area with supplies and to aid in the clearing of roads and cleaning up.
Prior to the hurricane Cuba had a 3 day blackout. Continued problems with fuel and infrastructure will plague the electrical grid. Food has been in short supply and very expensive. All challenges are now compounded due to the storm. It will take years for eastern Cuba to recover.
Thank you for your ongoing support financially and in prayer.
